Great view, great location very close to pier

The property is well located close to the pier (5 min walk on the beach). On the other side, 5 min from the famous Sairee beach strip. Yet the place is calm and relax vibe. Everyone is super respectful of this and you’ll leave feeling regenerated. The hotel was beautiful(might need a bit of love), with a great beach sitting in front. The view I believe is the best I saw around the island. Sunset are guaranteed. The food was incredible and authentic. Most of all, our stay was made special by the staff/team there. In particular, So was incredibly lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay special. I will remember our time there as the most special memory of Thailand/Koh Tao. I will definitely be back and stay at Regal.

It was great location, just by the beach. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with balcony.

The bathroom was dark and outdated. Even though I'm sure it was clean, it didn't feel like it was because it was old.

Location perfect between main village and popular main beach Sairee beach. Short walk to both. Hotel right on the beach. Good value for the money. Old and dated but ac and location and breakfast Ok in thai standards.

Hotel has not been maintained for a while. Lots of things around property is broke and just left so. Like all of the gym is broke down. Guests are allowed to smoke cannabis all day long on property . Smells up to the 3 floor early in the morning. Good or bad ?

Great location at the beach, and 2 min walking distance on the beach to the pier.

Expect noise from neighbors, and hallway. There is very little sound isolation between rooms, or the hallway. Bring ear plugs just in case.It was probably a 5 star hotel once... Now probably 2.5 star.

We got a room upgrade to a sea view, so we had a very large room with a balcony overlooking the sea. We didn’t expect this but it was a welcome surprise. Very happy.

Cleanliness could be a bit better, housekeeping a bit lacklustre. There could be more beds around the pool and on the beach. The gym is also not in a working condition.

The location is good but down a very very steep hill.

The place is incredibly dirty, there was mold everywhere, no warm water and weird smell. The door couldn't be locked which felt very unsafe especially because it looked like it had been broken down before. I only stayed here for one night because everything else on the island was booked - don't go unless it's the only option

Great value for money hotel, nice views and perfect location half the way between Sairee beach and the Mae Haad pier!

The steps in the main pool are very rough to walk on, they need to be retiled.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is right on the beach which offers a gorgeous sunset. Good value for money still though, but doesn’t look like the pictures / description.

The rooms were not as shown on the pictures, the walls were dirty, our shower head was not assembled properly, the towels were frayed around the edges and the whole place just felt slightly dirty. One of the pool areas was drained and covered in mould and the sun beds were just a bit old and rickety. The ‘free breakfast’ has only 1 free option which is cereal.

Pool fabulous, great location on the beach but far away from the 'hub' of the island and where the socialising happens. Poor quality of room. Located near the pier and free transfer included

Bedrooms slightly dirty, lizards in the room, holes under the door, bathroom very basic, poor lighting, corridor very basic, staff unsure of what was happening, breakfast had a very bad odour and poor selection. Very little fresh fruit. Beach beside the hotel had very uncomfortable sun loungers. Wooden and not able to recline etc.

We booked for one night and stayed for the whole week. The finer details of the hotel are not finished to European standard which I expect influences why the rating is a bit lower on booking sites. That having been said, we booked the big room with the beach view for an excellent price and it truly cannot be beat. The view was stunning and the room was massive. Floor to ceiling windows around the room. The bed was a bit tough but this is common for Thailand and we pulled the duvet out and put it under the sheet which made the bed more comfortable.

Beach is so beautiful, Room was comfortable, Pool was super wonderful.

Bad cleaning. Old soaps left in bathroom.. dust and dirt Re-stock of toilettries and bed ok. No cleaning or dusting of the room.

It needs to be maintained better. It definitely has seen better days. The receptiom staff were not very friendly or helpful. There was no information in our room about facilities or activities available.

Really nothing other than the location right on the beach and the two swimming pools (one deep, one 25m).The breakfast was “ok” as was the food generally.

Room was not serviced except to change towels and refresh water.The whole place has a feel of “faded grandeur” and now seems to be run on a shoestring of staffNo one to carry cases and no lift so if you are unsteady or unable to lift then find somewhere else.The place could do with a really proper clean.Rooms are really old fashioned, furniture is old, bathroom old, water supply to shower very hot and miss….

Not good WiFi connection. Sometimes it didn't work good.For breakfast they have only 3 options, don't have many choices and kind of fruits.
